Sport is a unique avenue for learning, identity building, and enhancing individuals' lives. When used intentionally, practitioners and coaches can support young people to develop an identity rooted in doing the right thing, shifting the focus from becoming "better athletes" to becoming "better people." By fostering the values of empathy, leadership, teamwork, and agency, they particularly impact children and youth, promoting the principles of good citizenship and supporting them to develop their own social entrepreneurial ventures. Together, we will leverage Ashoka’s Dream it. Do it. methodology to equip coaches and practitioners with the skills and mindset they need to foster the social entrepreneurial potential of youth to create positive change. This workshop is designed to enable coaches and practitioners to discover their power as changemakers and to inspire their community of players to do the same.
